See how the pros do it first hand and spend the day slicing, dicing, and preparing for a regular dinner service. You will be introduced to a variety of skills such as wielding a knife, meat fabrication, soup and sauce cookery, and of course, cooking. Synopsis • All courses begin at 10:30am and involve a brief lecture, chef demonstrations, and hands-on training. The day’s activities culminate with a 4 course tasting menu prepared by the chef and you with wine pairings. Includes a full gourmet country breakfast the next morning. Skill level required to participate: Mid to High and a reasonable amount of physical stamina is required as you will be on your feet all day.
Objectives of Course
1 • Live the life of a chef for one day. It’s hard work but the reward is that chef’s eat exceptionally well every day.
2 • Learn basic skills chefs use every day such as knife work, meat fabrication, and sauce and soup cookery.
3 • Assist the Executive Chef in preparing for dinner service and creating the evening’s menus.
4 • Get acquainted with the “less glamorous” parts of the job, such as food safety and stock rotation. But don’t worry, we won’t make you scrub the floors.
5 • When dinner service is completed, enjoy the fruits of your labor with a 4 course tasting dinner for you and a guest.

Extra Days • Special rate for longer lodging stays immediately before or immediately after course. If you wish to add lodging days immediately preceding or after course you will receive twenty-five percent off the regular rate for the extra dates reserving.
